OFF SHOULDER TOP AND DENIM

I remember when I was in grade 10, we had this beautiful actress wearing a white off shoulder peasant top with a white maxi skirt. I so fell in love with that attire (and perhaps the whole country did at the time), that I got a tailor made top similar to what she wore (those days in India, to get a trendy look, one would usually go to tailors) and bought a black and white polka dotted high waisted maxi skirt  to go with it. I wore that outfit to my one and only and the most memorable school trip to the hills in India.

When the trend returned this year, I was really excited to try it again and relive my childhood. Finally, I bought this Zara white off shoulder top pictured below.

More off shoulder tops here.

I paired it with a denim skirt bought from the local street market in India,  H&M flats and an oversized floppy sun hat also from H&M.

You can find similar hats here. Some more denim skirts for you.

See what my little one did with my hat

You again see me sporting a casual loose side braid.

My forever camera ready little one. I love fresh flowers and picked up one from one of the bushes;) I love it whenever we are on an island/beach holiday. Its the most beautiful and “readily available :)” accessory!

To add a little colour, my bright pink beach bag was enough, I guess.

Do share your off shoulder ideas and let me know how you like this holiday look.

Hi! I am a Corporate and Commercial Lawyer managing my own small practice and working with some fairly big businesses in UAE. In June 2015, I decided to start my blog and that’s when “Katz and Kurlz” was born.

I researched and designed my own website initially (and later with some professional help), struggled to use Instagram, learning from all the beautiful existing bloggers, taking inspiration from their posts, I finally managed to come from a 100 odd followers to about 90K+ as of today. My followers are of all ages and demographics, but among them, I have a lot of young men, women and mothers.

I find blogging therapeutic and relaxing and I see it as my first step towards all those dreams and milestones that I have planned. In a world full of “only magazine glossy” images featuring on blogs, I believe in sharing everyday snippets and glimpses from my life.

Primarily a fashion and beauty blogger, I have worked with some prominent makeup brands. Apart from fashion and beauty, I have also worked with various food and beverage brands, have also covered mother and child events, services and products.

I also manage a magazine htpp://www.salaamlife.com/ where me and my fellow muddleheads share what is close to our heart!
