Very recently, I came across a wonderful online portal called Basharacare. Its a wonderful online portal where you can purchase skin care, face care, haircare and makeup products (and even products for men!) from top brands like Dermalogica, Phyto, Lipstick Queen, Jane Iredale, Eucerin and many more.

Due to UAE weather and thanks to my asian skin, I was looking for something that would help me get rid of my suntan and uneven skin tone. My skin is combination to oily and its prone to tanning, pigmentation and acne. Plus, because I’m no more in my twenties (alas!) I need to take extra care of my skin to prevent ageing and reduce signs of ageing.

So, while browsing through the list of face care products, I came across two products that I had heard a lot about. Now it was time to try these two myself:) And I ordered Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant (AED 245 for 75 ml) and Eucerin Even Brighter Day Cream (AED 167 for 50 ml).

As soon as I placed my order, I received a confirmation from Basharacare and voila! I rceived my products the very next day!!! That too with a few cute looking sample products!

It was time to put these products to some real test! And here’s my review for both:

  1. Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant:

To begin with, as the name suggests, its a product that can be sued daily as a microfoliant. It is not extra grainy and extra harsh. The product comes in a powder form and only half a teaspoon is used for one application. I have been using this products for almost a month now, but its already showing its results on my uneven skin tone, my acne marks as well as my suntan.

As for the ingredients, if you carefully look, you will find some active ingredients which have bee proven to exfoliate skin and remove marks and pigmentation. it contains, among other things, Colloidal Oatmeal, Rice Bran, Rice Starch, Titanium Dioxide Salicylic Acid, Grapefruit Peel Oil, Licorice Root Extract , and Tea Tree Leaf Oil. The 75 ml pack is expected to last about two months (depending upon your usage) and hence, a god value for money. And the best part, because of the microfoliant grains, it doesn’t feel like you are stripping the skin off your face (that scrub and exfoliant feeling, you know!). I am going to continue using this product and i think its a must have product for asian skin tone!

2. Eucerin Even Brighter Day Cream:

This cream is another good product for my kind of skin. The cream is a non-greasy day formula, free of parabens and is actually helping me getting rid of my suntan and its making my skin looking a bit more even toned. I have been using this one also for about a month and I am pretty happy. The 50 ml pack is quite a good value for money as I expect it will last me about 2-3 months!

I apply this daily after my toner, serum and moisturiser and then I usually wear my sunscreen (and sometimes makeup) on top. The cream is quite light in texture and doesn’t feel sticky or heavy on my oily skin. However, In order to see complete results, I need to continue using this cream coupled with my Dermalogica daily microfoliant. The best part that I liked about it is that it doesn’t contain any parabens! And the packaging is so sleek that its easy to carry with you on your travel:) It does contain a bit of perfum (which I like), and if you are the one who’s allergic to perfums in skin care products, then this may not be for you.

Overall, my expereince with Basharacare was vey good. I am pretty impressed with their collection, range and service!

And the products that Ive been using, I shall continue to use them to see complete results. Till then, you must go and check out Basharacre for your orders!

Hi! I am a Corporate and Commercial Lawyer managing my own small practice and working with some fairly big businesses in UAE. In June 2015, I decided to start my blog and that’s when “Katz and Kurlz” was born.

I researched and designed my own website initially (and later with some professional help), struggled to use Instagram, learning from all the beautiful existing bloggers, taking inspiration from their posts, I finally managed to come from a 100 odd followers to about 90K+ as of today. My followers are of all ages and demographics, but among them, I have a lot of young men, women and mothers.

I find blogging therapeutic and relaxing and I see it as my first step towards all those dreams and milestones that I have planned. In a world full of “only magazine glossy” images featuring on blogs, I believe in sharing everyday snippets and glimpses from my life.

Primarily a fashion and beauty blogger, I have worked with some prominent makeup brands. Apart from fashion and beauty, I have also worked with various food and beverage brands, have also covered mother and child events, services and products.

I also manage a magazine htpp:// where me and my fellow muddleheads share what is close to our heart!
