Hi Lovelies!

Summer is here in full swing and its that time of the year again, when you get that additional bit of tan and sun spots. Good for those who love to tan their skin and love their summer beach time, but I guess the grass is always greener on the other side. As an asian with a relatively brown skin, I don’t like to get tanned at all. And more than the tan, i think its the ill and dangerous effects and the fear of skin cancer which stops me from being a true beach baby.

So for me, a sunscreen is the most important part of my daily routine. And considering I have super oily skin, which is prone to acne and allergic to dust, I have to be extra careful while choosing my sunscreen. I have used and tried practically every sunscreen on the planet:) and recently got one by Heliocare. Thanks to Basharacare ( I have already raved about them a lot. Read my post here)

Now Heliocare is a brand that makes some fantastic skincare products, makeup and oral supplements. The sunscreen, which is a gel oil free sunscreen with SPF 50 (one out of their wide range) is totally oil free and doesn’t leave any shine on your skin. as for it’s ingredients, it doesn’t contain any parabens and contains one of the most sought after ingredients in sunscreens- Titanium Dioxide! It is a bit sticky and you really have to rub it quickly on your skin to avoid the product sticking to a particular part of your face, but it has helped me reduce my acne, which aggravates whenever I use an oil based sunscreen. I repeat the sunscreen every two-three hours (it is extremely important) and use it on all exposed parts like my arms. Another good thing for me, this product is fragrance free, as I’m a bit allergic to certain fragrances, specially in sunscreen lotions.

Another very important point to be noted, its a product with exclusive 100% mineral-filter formulation, which means  (as stated above), no chemicals and parabens and only minerals! The sunscreen is particularly suitable for my skin type, which is sensitive and totally intolerant. It offers a very high full spectrum UVB/UVA/HEvis/IR protection against all kinds of harmful sunrays! Also, the SPF is pretty high which is very much needed for hot weather conditions of India and UAE. And I wear it under my makeup but since its oil free, I don’t have to overdo my mattifying primer.

In short, I think I have found the right sunscreen for my oily skin, FINALLY! the product is available at Basharacare and is priced at AED 200. So, why wait? Just go and get your Heliocare sunscreen now!!

Hi! I am a Corporate and Commercial Lawyer managing my own small practice and working with some fairly big businesses in UAE. In June 2015, I decided to start my blog and that’s when “Katz and Kurlz” was born.

I researched and designed my own website initially (and later with some professional help), struggled to use Instagram, learning from all the beautiful existing bloggers, taking inspiration from their posts, I finally managed to come from a 100 odd followers to about 90K+ as of today. My followers are of all ages and demographics, but among them, I have a lot of young men, women and mothers.

I find blogging therapeutic and relaxing and I see it as my first step towards all those dreams and milestones that I have planned. In a world full of “only magazine glossy” images featuring on blogs, I believe in sharing everyday snippets and glimpses from my life.

Primarily a fashion and beauty blogger, I have worked with some prominent makeup brands. Apart from fashion and beauty, I have also worked with various food and beverage brands, have also covered mother and child events, services and products.

I also manage a magazine htpp:// where me and my fellow muddleheads share what is close to our heart!
