I have spoken enough about my problem skin and hence, you would perhaps find me trying different brightening creams. This time, its Urban veda, which is a UK brand, based on Ayurvedic philosophy. It is a brand that uses natural ingredients, taking inspiration from age old Ayurvedic principles and is SL free, paraben free and does not contain any GM ingredients. I ordered my Urban veda cream from my favourite online store Basharacare:) (priced at 135 AED for a 50ml pack).

Talking about the Radiance replenishing Night Cream that I have been using, the night cream contains trusted turmeric (traditionally used in India to brighten a bride’s skin), marigold, which is another brightening ingredient used in grandma’s home remedies, papaya and goji berry, which contain peptides to soothe and firm skin and remove hyper pigmentation. All these ingredients, as we know are also anti-inflammatory so they also soothe redness caused due to acne and break-outs. it also contains sweet almond oil, which moisturises and firm the skin and another wonder ingredient called Arjuna, which boosts collagen in our skin. In addition, it contains Orange Peel Oil and Liquorice root extract.

Ok, so to simplify all the above, the cream contains all those ingredients, which my mom has been using to make her homemade masks and scrubs. The positive point, it comes in a convenient form, so no need to really whisk your kitchen everyday;) and it comes in a form which is free from Parabens. It does however, contain Phenoxythanol and perfume.

Coming to the results, I won’t say that in a span of four weeks, it has done wonders to my skin, but it is definitely showing some results. Any product will take some time to show effective results unless it is laced with “fast result inducing” harmful chemicals. So far, I have been happy with this product. It has become an essential part of my nighttime routine and I don’t ever skip using it. My skin has definitely improved in texture, my pimples have reduced and dullness has gone down a bit. Another good point, it has a moisturizing effect, but without any sticky oil residue; it isn’t even visible on my skin after application.  The only downside perhaps would be the perfume, which I have now gotten used to. But if you are someone who’s looking for perfume free products, then this may not be an ideal choice for you.

I would definitely recommend this if you are also like me who prefers natural ingredients over paraben laced products. However, as I always say, one needs to constantly use a product  and have patience to see actual results.

Hope you enjoyed reading my review

p.s. the above opinions are our honest opinions about the products and services that we review.

Hi! I am a Corporate and Commercial Lawyer managing my own small practice and working with some fairly big businesses in UAE. In June 2015, I decided to start my blog and that’s when “Katz and Kurlz” was born.

I researched and designed my own website initially (and later with some professional help), struggled to use Instagram, learning from all the beautiful existing bloggers, taking inspiration from their posts, I finally managed to come from a 100 odd followers to about 90K+ as of today. My followers are of all ages and demographics, but among them, I have a lot of young men, women and mothers.

I find blogging therapeutic and relaxing and I see it as my first step towards all those dreams and milestones that I have planned. In a world full of “only magazine glossy” images featuring on blogs, I believe in sharing everyday snippets and glimpses from my life.

Primarily a fashion and beauty blogger, I have worked with some prominent makeup brands. Apart from fashion and beauty, I have also worked with various food and beverage brands, have also covered mother and child events, services and products.

I also manage a magazine htpp:// where me and my fellow muddleheads share what is close to our heart!
